It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of William Herman Morrell “Bill” on Wednesday May 27, 2020 at Chatham Kent Hospice. Born 81 years ago to the late Elmer and Florence Morrell. Beloved husband of Betty. Loving father of Norman, Sherry Marszalski (Rick) and Cindy Day (the late Mike). Grandfather of Jennifer, Connie, Michelle and Michael. Great grandfather of 10. Survived by sisters Sylvia and Dianna. Also survived by nephew Greg Way and sisters in law Nancy, Jean and Joyce Bennett. Predeceased by siblings Elmer Jr and Thelma and brother in law Harold Smith. For over 60 years Bill drove millions of miles across North America as a long haul truck driver. 30 of those years he team drove with Betty. They traveled from coast to coast and top to bottom, through Tornado Alley, Donners Pass, Ice roads, mountain highways and beyond. He also enjoyed many years as a member of Branch 28 legion in Chatham. Bill will be deeply missed and forever remembered by several friends and colleges. In lieu of flowers donations can be directed to CK Hospice. A time of remembrance will take place at a later date.
