Derochie, Benjamin John, passed away peacefully on Sunday August 11, 2019 at the Chatham Kent Hospice at 49 years of age. Ben will be profoundly missed by his sons Steven Rivard (Jessica Leach) and Simon Derochie and their mother Diana Rivard Derochie. Son of Lloyd MacDonald and Evangeline Derochie. Brother in law of Donna Rivard (Jeff Carroll)and their children Allyson Micheal and Elijah. Uncle of Kevin Peltier (Becca) and Lynn Derochie. Also survived by his chosen family Shawn Fulmer (Robyn), Maurino and Christine Caetano, Tim Kudroch and Jessica Miller (Bob). Ben drove transport truck for most of his working years which “he hated but couldn’t live without”. Ben loved his family, motorcycles, had a great appreciation for all kinds of music and was an avid duck and deer hunter. Ben’s family would like to express heart felt gratitude to Shawn and Jessica who were kindly present as Ben crossed over and to Dr. Sully at the Chatham Kent Cancer Clinic and Chatham Kent Hospice for their caring professionalism.
