With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Becky Lynn Brideau on Wednesday , December 7, 2022 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance with her husband, children, granddaughters and other family members by her side. Born in Chatham 68 years ago. Daughter of Earl and Ora Wardle. Wife of Romeo for over 45 years. Mother of Larry Brideau (Deb Roets), Renee List (Bev List). Predeceased by her 2 sons Joey and Jamie Brideau. Grandmother of Amber Lynn Brideau (Jason), Jordyn Grien (Braden), Brandon Deacon (Sabrina), Trevor Deacon (Cassandra), Allan Deacon, Brandon Roets, Stacey Summerfield (Jeremy), Donovan List, Quentin List (Abigail), MacKenzie Rooke and Kaylee Brideau. Great grandmother of Avery Summerfield, Emma Summerfield and another great granddaughter on the way Baby Cuddlebug. Becky is the youngest sister of 13, survived by Hildred Hillman, Gary Wardle (Carolyn), Nancy Crow, Wanda Chesney-Travis , Butch Wardle and Brenda Ritchie. Predeceased by siblings; Marjorie Formosa, Robert Wardle, Carris Wickwire, Arthur Wardle, Betty Deleeuw and John Wardle.
Becky was an empathetic person who always put others first. She was a beautiful women inside and out and not often would you see her without her make up, hair and nails done just right. If anyone could wear red nail polish it was Becky. Romeo and Becky shared a very special and close relationships with their grandchildren. She was the favourite to several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters. Just as important to her was her dog Shinu. Becky will be dearly missed. A celebration of her life will be planned for a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Chatham Animal Shelter.
