With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Andrew Erdelyi on Friday November 6, 2020 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Son of the late Andrew and Anne Erdelyi. Born in Welland, Ontario 76 years ago. Devoted husband of Joan for over 55 years. Beloved father of David (Candice), Jenn (Rich) and Tony. Cherished Gramps of Sam, Scott, Allie, Amber and Michael. Brother of the late Anne Veres (Lou), Liz Podolyak (Joe) and Mary Banks (John). Brother in law of Don Dierckens (Dale), Linda Derbyshire (Terry), Susie Freitas (Tony), and the late Marie Dundas (Chris). Also predeceased by in-laws Jo-Anne Dierckens and Gary and Janet Dierckens. Survived by many nieces , nephews and great friends. Godfather to Carla Babkirk, Les Banks and Jeff Dierckens.  Andy is now reunited with his “brother” and best friend Carl Reaume. Andy worked for many years at Superior Tool and Die in Chatham as a skilled Machinist. He was a lifetime member of the Kent Cloverleaf Conservation Club but treasured most of all his many travels with his “Joanie” . Memorial donations may be directed to the Chatham-Kent Hospice .
