Obituary for Alyson Smoke
Alyson Marie (Aly) Smoke, 29, left this world on January 2nd, 2023. Loving daughter of Terry Smoke and GuyAnne (Rossignol) Smoke, beloved sister of Kaitlyn Smoke (Aaron Bevilacqua) and her canine brother Baccus. Dearest granddaughter of Anne Marie (Perreault) Rossignol. Aly was greeted in heaven by her grandparents, Aurele Rossignol, Wilfred Smoke, and Amy (Leentjes) Smoke, and other relatives who predeceased her. She was loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and friends. She will be surely missed by the members of the "A" team, her honourary family members who helped with her care.
Aly was a shining example of how to live life to the fullest, and had a true gift of reminding people of what is truly important in life. Her infectious smile, her silly sense of humour, and her strong personality had an impact on anyone who got to know her. She enjoyed being outside in the sunshine going for walks and going swimming. She had a love for all types of music and enjoyed so many concerts in her lifetime. She was especially a big fan of the Backstreet Boys, whose music always made her smile. Her ability to connect with people and build relationships was so unique and special. Anyone who was blessed to have known her knows how she had the extraordinary ability to make you smile even on your darkest day.
Special thanks to Dr. Alvi and the nurses at CKHA on 4th floor medicine B, who took amazing care of her in her final days. Friends and relatives are welcomed to her Celebration of Life at Links of Kent 'River Deck Room" at 120 Indian Creek Rd. W, on Sunday, January 8th, 2023 from 10am-12:30pm, with a service at 11:30am. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations in her memory to the Children's Treatment Centre of Chatham-Kent, 355 Lark St.
